Whether you are looking for something new for your home or a new outfit there are plenty of places to find what you are looking for in Dubai. With malls, boutiques, and much more, you can make a full day if not a week walking around the stores and finding exactly what you want.
Malls
There are over 70 malls in Dubai all with a wide range of shops to explore. This number of malls will soon increase, with roughly 8 already in construction.
1. Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall is probably the most well known mall in the emirate and is located in the heart of the prestigious
Downtown Dubai. With a total internal floor area of 5.9 million sq. ft., The Dubai Mall has over 3 million sq. ft. of gross leasable space and over 1,200 retail outlets, including multiple fashion stores and family attractions.
2. Mall of the Emirates
Mal of the Emirates is located in one of the newer residential developments, the Al Barsha, in the west of Dubai. With a total of over 2 million sq. ft. of gross leasable space, the mall is home to 520 stores, including department stores and speciality stores.
3. BurJuman
Located in the Bur Dubai area, the BurJuman mall has a total retail floor area of 800,000 sq. ft. and 300 stores. The BurJuman is not only a shopping mall but is also has a business tower, hotel suites and duplex residences.
4. City Centre Deira
Since opening in August 1995, the City Centre Deira, has become home to over 340 stores. With everything from entertainment to anchor stores, you can find everything you could ever need.
5. Ibn Battuta Mall
Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Ibn Battuta Mall has around 270 stores, since opening in 2005. In May 2013 it was announced that a new 301,000 sq. ft. of land would be used to become home for another 150 stores.
6. Mercato Shopping Mall
The Mercato Shopping Mall first opened in October 2002 in Jumeirah. In the space of 247,000 sq. ft. this mall has over 140 stores to browse through.
7. Wafi Mall
The Wafi Mall is located along Sheikh Rashid Road and opened in 2001. Across a total of over 850,000 sq. ft. there are around 200 stores for you to find exactly what you’re looking for.
8. Al Ghurair City
One of the oldest malls in Dubai is the Al Ghurair City mall. Since opening in 1981, it has become the home of over 200 stores. The 2013 expansion meant that the Al Ghuair City mall would add 375,000 sq. ft. and over 150 new stores. It would also be the home to a family entertainment centre, 14 anchor stores and much more.
9. Century Mall Dubai
Century Mall Dubai is located in Al Mamzar on 300,000 sq. ft. of land. Since opening in 2003, the mall has been home to 75 stores, and is part of the Al Safeer group.
10. Dragon Mart
The Dragon Mart gets its name from the fact it has been designed to be the shape of a dragon. With almost 4,000 stores it is considered the largest trading hub for Chinese products outside of China. Opened in 2004, the Dragon Mart spans over 1.6 million sq. ft.
11. Dubai Marina mall
Dubai Marina mall has more than 130 stores across nearly 400,000 sq. ft. Part of the Emaar group;
Dubai Marina mall first opened its doors in December 2008. Dubai Marina mall has a real mix of high street fashion brands, aspirational boutique fashion, al fresco waterfront dining and much more.
12. Dubai Outlet mall
The Dubai Outlet mall was developed by Al Ahli Holding Group and is the first ‘Outlet’ concept mall in the Middle East. It is home to over 1,200 of the world’s premium and top brands.
13. Grand City Mall
The Grand City Mall is run by the Regency Group and opened its doors back in 2006. Located in the Al Quoz area, the mall is one of the smallest in Dubai, only 75,000 sq. ft. with just 35 shops in total.
14. Arabian Center
Opened in March 2009, the Arabian Center is located on Al Khawaneej Road. The Lals Group manages the shopping mall. In November 2013, the mall was awarded the Silver Award in the category of Middle East and North Africa Shopping Center Awards at the ICSC Global Awards.
15. Dubai Gold and Diamond Park
Since opening in May 2001, on Sheikh Zayed Road, the Dubai Gold and Diamond Park has over 90 leading retailers. With their newest expansion, the area grew by 118 manufacturing blocks and commercial space for over 350 offices.
16. City Centre Mirdif
First opened in March 2010, the City Centre Mirdif was developed and managed by Majid Al Futtaim Properties. Across almost 6 million sq. ft. of land and 2 floors, the City Centre Mirdif is home to around 450 stores.
17. City Center Me’aisem
The City Center Me’aisem first opened in September 2015 in the International Media Production Zone, on 325,000 sq. ft. Currently the site has over 39 stores with Phase 2 to be complete in 2020.
18. Sunset Mall
Sunset Mall is located on Jumeirah Beach Road on 1 million sq. ft. of land. Since opening in December 2011 the site now has around 100 stores.
19. The Galleria Mall
Located on Al Wasl Road, The Galleria Mall is set on 25,000 sq. ft. of land with around 35 stores. It is one of the newest malls in Dubai, only opening in 2014.
Boutiques
20. West LA boutique
West LA Boutique is located within the Sunset Mall. They sell a range of unique brands along with quirky bohemian pieces with a bit of California cool. From dresses to distressed jeans and slogan tees, you can find the perfect clothes for your mood.
21. Makeup Etc.
Makeup Etc. is the place for beauty professionals and makeup lovers. They specialise in hard-to-find and high quality beauty brands. Located in Palm Strip Mall you can find the perfect beauty products.
22. O-Concept
O-Concept is an eclectic boutique and coffee shop with a New York loft space feel. Located in Jumeirah 1, here you can find the perfect casual look or beautiful eveningwear, along with some quirky accessories.
23. Bambah
Bambah is located along Jumeirah Beach Road. This cute little boutique has a number of flirty accessories along with whimsical dresses and even delicate interior pieces from the 1930s to 1980s. Find everything from vintage designers and Marie Antoinette-style furniture.
24. Comptoir 102
Located on Jumeirah Road, this homely, stylish boutique and coffee shop is full of character. With a mix of gourmet food, stunning home interior pieces and incredible accessories, this French inspired boutique’s products would fit perfectly with any renovated European-fell villa.
25. S*uce
S*uce’s first branch opened in 2004 and now has branches in Dubai Mall, The Village Mall and Abu Dhai’s Marina Mall, their latest branch, S*uce in the Hood has recently opened in City walk, Dubai. This boutique is aimed at women who are not afraid to experiment with their look and love to find special one-off pieces with extra detail.
26. Audrey’s Cat
Audrey’s Cat can mainly be found at events. They specialise in Antique & Vintage Jewellery, they have the perfect pieces to finish off any outfit for a themed party, like The Great Gatsby.
27. Spontiphoria
Located in Al Wasl Square, Spontiphoria claims to be one of the first boutiques in the city to give both café and boutique equal billing. This cute little boutique is aimed at expat and local women. They have a range of eveningwear, casualwear, jewellery and accessories, as well as children’s clothing, pet accessories, kitchen items and also gifts.
28. GarderobeVintage
GarderobeVintage is predominantly and online-based store, where people can buy and sell items. Their main store is located on Jumeirah Beach Road. You can find some items available with discounts of up to 70%.
29. Zoo Concept
Zoo Concept mainly deals with one-off items, they are located in Villa 142 on Jumeirah Beach Road (opposite Dubai Zoo) and Level Show District, The Dubai Mall. Many fashion-forward celebs have been spotted in items that can be found in Zoo Concept along with their range of beautiful garments and accessories.
30. Studio 8
Studio 8 is a multicultural boutique that opened back in 2009. They have held several exhibitions by some of the top designers in the region. Their products are a range of modern, stylish abaya that are made by Emirati designers. Paris Hilton has worn some of these items while she was filming her TV in Dubai. They can be found along Jumeirah Beach Road.
31. Sophie’s Closet
Located in The Single Business Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road, Sophie’s Closet sells some of the finest costume jewellery in the world, for all budgets. Everything is hand-selects every pieces that is sold in the store.
32. Valleydez
Valleydez is the perfect place for the bold dresser. No only can you find bold colours but also daring silhouettes and eye-catching textures. You can find Valleydex in Sunset Mall and Wafi Mall.
33. O’De Rose
O’De Rose is popular with Emirates and Arab expats, with regional themes and Arabic motif. It is also popular with non-Arabic-speaking inhabitants and tourists who wish to take back unique pieces back home from the UAE. You can find O’De Rose on Al Wasl Road, Umm Suqeim 2.
34. Symphony
Symphony is Dubai Mall’s first multi-brand boutique, with clothes from dozens of labels that have all been handpicked by the owner. Here you can find not only clothes but also accessories and a collection of books. The store has been designed as a place to relax with friends while you are browsing through clothes from local and international designers.
35. Ayesha Depala
Located in The Village Mall, Jumeirah Beach Road, Ayesha Depala sells a range of bridal wear and cocktail gowns, many of these have been seen in international exhibitions. You are able to get custom designs, which are hand-made and can take a few months to make.
36. The Odd Piece
The Odd Piece is located in the heart of Jumeirah. Not only does this little boutique stock hand-made furniture but they you can also buy home accessories- anything from chandeliers and mirrors to vases. The owner enjoys making their own furniture and will also reinvent vintage and antique furniture to give it a more modern feel.
37. Etoile
Etoile has a store located in Wafi Mall, with several other branches across the Middle East. They stock a mixture of luxury brands with some high-end and internally known brands to newer, up-and-coming designers, Etoile has a range of brands for everyone. The environment in this boutique is fairly relaxed with sofas dotted around the store.
38. Socialista
Located in Sunset Mall, Socialista stocks ultra-feminine pieces with edgy detailing and non-conventional colour palettes and structuring. This store is not for those with a small budget.
39. Cities
Cities is a unique design and accessories store with luxury and modern products. Located in the Galleria Mall you can find handpicked products selected from various Middle Eastern and international design shows and exhibitions. The Main idea of the store is to allow customers to travel the world in one place.
40. Boutique 1
Boutique 1 is one of the Middle East’s most popular destinations for emerging contemporary designers. Set within contemporary surroundings this cute boutique offers around 200 luxury brands. This boutique offers an art gallery, café and specialised book area.
