Barbora Marcinkova, Senior Client Manager

What made you want to go into real estate?
I’ve always enjoyed working with people and being part of important decisions in their lives. Real estate felt like the perfect combination of business, psychology, and a bit of detective work. No two days are the same, one day you’re negotiating a deal, and the next you’re helping someone imagine their future in a new home. I was also drawn to the idea that your success in this industry depends largely on the effort you put in and the relationships you build.

What sets you apart from other agents?
I aim to keep things honest and straightforward. Buying or selling property can already be stressful, so I believe clients appreciate clear communication and a simple, transparent approach. I’m also very persistent—once I start working on something, I’m committed to seeing it through. My clients know they can call or message me anytime, and I’ll always do my best to find a solution.

What would you say to other women who are considering real estate?
Go for it. Real estate rewards people who are hardworking, organised, and good with people, and those qualities have nothing to do with gender. Women often bring strong communication skills and attention to detail, which can actually be a big advantage in this industry. If you’re used to managing a busy schedule and multitasking in everyday life, you’re already developing skills that are very useful in real estate.

What do you like most about your job?
I love that every day is different. One day you might be showing beautiful properties, and the next you’re negotiating deals or helping a client solve a problem. It’s fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting. And of course, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client happy when everything finally comes together.

What is the most challenging part of your job?
The unpredictability can definitely be challenging. A deal can look perfect and then suddenly something changes, timing, paperwork, or market conditions. You have to stay calm, adapt quickly, and keep everyone focused on the same goal. Real estate also doesn’t really have traditional office hours, so your phone can ring at any time, which keeps things interesting but requires good balance.

Why do you think real estate is still a male-dominated sector?
Historically, industries that involve negotiation, investment, and sales have tended to attract more men. However, that is changing quickly. Real estate is really about relationships, trust, and communication, areas where women often excel. The industry is becoming more balanced, and I believe we will continue to see more women entering the field and achieving great success.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends, my fur baby, and relaxing by the beach. That lifestyle is one of the reasons I chose to both live and specialise in selling property in Palm Jumeirah, it perfectly reflects the kind of environment and community I love being part of.
